The Hobart Clinic offers excellent programs of support for family members and carers of people experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, or mental illness.

Families and carers may have experienced a crisis situation with a loved one, or may need some support in caring for a person for a period of time.

Why do I need support?

It is very common for family members and carers to suffer from stress and depression, because of the demands of their support roles, and because they are anxious about the health of their loved one.

If you are in a caring role or have a family member with a challenging mental health issue, you will benefit from attending our Carer Support Program – Living With Mental Illness.

This program is free of charge for carers of someone with a mental illness. It runs one day a week for eight weeks. For more information, click here.
