Recovery Groups

Open Programs

Treatment programs provide a focused and skills-based group experience. Places are limited and it is expected that group participants will commit to attending for the group duration.  Open programs are held throughout the year and can be joined at any time.

Living Well, Staying Well (Eastern Shore)

• This program addresses a range of mental health topics for those requiring ongoing support; including strategies for anxiety, depression and other relevant topics.

• Monday’s:  10.00am – 2.00pm

Changing Addictive Behaviour (Eastern Shore)

• A support program for those with an addiction, covering key strategies such as craving management and other related topics.

• Tuesday’s:  10.00am – 2.00pm (Eastern Shore)

Living Well, Staying Well (Eastern Shore)

• This program addresses a range of mental health topics for those requiring ongoing support; including strategies for anxiety, depression and other relevant topics

• Wednesday’s:  10.00am – 11.00am (Yoga) & 11.30 – 2.30pm (Session)

Creative Art (Eastern Shore)

• An ongoing program that allows expression through artistic techniques and mindfulness strategies.  No artistic talent is required.

• Tuesday’s & Thursday’s:  11.30am – 3.00pm

Wise and Well (Eastern Shore)

• A general health and wellbeing program for older persons addressing a range of mental health topics.

• Friday’s:  10.00am – 2.00pm

Mood Management

•Strategies for managing key symptoms of depression, including changing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

• 6 week program| Starts Wednesday 19 July, 2017: 9.30am – 2.00pm

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) (Murray Street Clinic)

• Focus on the specific use of CBT to change the way you think which effects how you feel and act.

• 5 week program| Starts Wednesday 30 August, 2017: 9.30am – 12.30pm

Anxiety Management (Murray Street Clinic)

• Strategies to manage the physical and psychological symptoms of anxiety.

• 10 week program| Starts Tuesday 30 May, 2017:  1.00pm-4.00pm

Dialetical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

• Helps regulate overwhelming emotions.  Consists of 3 modules based on Marsha Linehan’s treatment model.

• 30 week program | Wednesday & Thursday:  9.30am – 12.30pm

Balancing Bipolar

• A group providing education and support for people managing Bipolar Disorder.

• 6 week program | Friday, 2 June, 2017:  9.30am – 12.30pm

ACT Mindfulness Program – Weekend Workshop

• An experiential program introducing Mindfulness techniques to develop acceptance of unwanted thoughts and feelings.

• Saturday | 20th & 27th May, 2017:  9.30am – 3.30pm

Communicating Confidently

• A group focussed on increasing self-esteem which assists effective communication and wellbeing.

• 8 week program | Dates and time to be advised.

Pain Management (Murray Street Clinic)

• Strategies to understand and actively manage chronic pain.

• 10 week repeating program | Date & time to be advised.

Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program (Murray Street Clinic)

• Introduces key strategies to help with management of alcohol and drug addictions.

• 8 week program | Starts Tuesday 4 April, 2017:  9.30am – 12.30pm

Cannabis Addiction (Murray Street Clinic)

• Program designed specifically to address cannabis addiction.

• 5 week program | Starts Tuesday 3 October, 2017:  10.00am – 12.00pm

Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention

• Taking a different approach to  managing addiction with mindfulness techniques.

• 8 week program | Wednesday 18 October, 2017:  9.30am – 12.30pm
