The Hobart Clinic has outstanding expertise in assisting people with major mental illness.

This may include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or other psychotic conditions.

Our team of six psychiatrists offers a specialist treatment plan for each individual. Treatment can include medication and individual and group therapy.

Therapy is aimed at stabilising the condition, and assisting people to become self-reflective and more aware of their own symptoms where possible.

Small groups, facilitated by expert therapists, provide a safe place to express feelings and feel less isolated in living with an ongoing condition.

Residential patients benefit from the calming, healthy routines of eating, sleeping and activity that the Clinic can provide.

A range of complementary therapies are also offered, including yoga and tai chi, massage and reflexology and art therapy.

Make an appointment with a GP and ask for a referral to The Hobart Clinic for treatment.

Admission to the Hobart Clinic is voluntary. For people needing a higher level of containment, the Royal Hobart Hospital can assist.
