I am very pleased to announce that following a national external recruitment process, Dr Anthony Llewellyn has been appointed as the new Chair of The Hobart Clinic’s Medical Advisory Committee (MAC).

The Chair of our MAC is one of THC’s most important roles, as a position required under the Tasmanian Health Services Establishment legislation and regulations.

Dr Llewellyn is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) and joins us highly qualified for this role, with extensive experience in governance, clinical leadership, medical executive, education, workforce and various chair and committee roles.

Dr Llewellyn has strong ties with Tasmania, and in a round about way, with The Hobart Clinic, having himself grown up in Hobart and his father, the Hon. David Llewellyn, having officially opened the Dr Russell Pargiter Consulting Suite here at The Hobart Clinic, in his capacity as the then Minister for Health and Human Services.
