Amanda Quealy, Chief Executive Officer

Amanda commenced working in the health care industry in 1986 having performed roles in the government, private and not-for-profit sectors. Since 1996 she has been in management roles within the hospital and community care sectors. Prior to taking up the CEO role at the Hobart Clinic, she occupied a senior executive role within the corporate healthcare sector. Her academic background includes Economics, Accountancy, Social Work and post graduate qualifications in Health Services Administration.

Dr Julian Davis, Clinical Director

Dr Davis is a consultant psychiatrist both in public and private practice.  His qualifications are MBBS (Melbourne), Diploma of Geriatric Medicine, Master of Psychological Medicine and Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.  He was the Deputy Medical Superintendent at Mount Royal  Hospital from 1986 to 1999. Consultant Psychiatrist at St Vincent's Hospital where he established the statewide Dual Disability Service for persons with intellectual disability and psychiatric illness. At the Austin Hospital he was Senior Psychiatrist for the Secure Extended Care Unit. He was consultant psychiatrist/Executive Director/Authorised Psychiatrist for the Loddon Campaspe Southern Mallee Area Health Service (Bendigo Health) from 1999 to 2005.  Dr Davis was a senior lecturer at Melbourne University from 1993 to 1998, Clinical Associate Professor at Monash University 2001 to 2011 and Senior Associate in the School of Psychology at Melbourne University from 2004 until December 2009.   His current government appointments  are part-time member of the Adult Parole Board of Victoria and sessional member of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal sitting on the business and Occupation Regulation and Guardianship/Administration Lists.

Alison Garrett, Corporate Services Manager

Alison has worked in healthcare since 1994. She manages all aspects of the Clinic’s financial, administration, services and human resource management.
